I started following the Pen Addict and Good Pens recently when I was looking for something better in a writing utensil. These two blogs, and others they link to introduced me to a whole world of pens I did not know existed. They also introduced me to Jet Pens where many of the pens in this photo were purchased from.
So, what do I have in my pen kit? Starting with the "upper arc" of pens, from left to right:
Zebra 301's, a pencil and red and black ballpoints
Two found UniBalls, black ink, the first a "Faber Castell" UniBall of very fine point that bleeds like crazy on some paper and works great on other paper. The second is a Gel Impact 1.0mm that draws a crisp bold line.
A UniBall Signo Gel Grip 0.7mm in black, and two Signo DX 0.38 in Orange and Blue-Black
A UniBall Signo MF3 multifunction with red, black, and 0.5mm pencil. When you can bring only one pen.
7 Pilot G-2's, 0.7mm. I prefer a cap to RT, but these are just wonderful. Really saturated inks, and really smooth writing/drawing.
2 Pilot Varsity fountain pens, black, then red. Excellent for the price.
LAMY Safari with EF nib, currently filled with Noodler's Forest Green; my favorite pen to write with.
In the "lower arc", again left to right:
5 Pentel Slicci, 0.3mm
General Stainless Steel ruler, 6 inch, with eigth, sixteenth, thirty second, and sixty fourth divisions.
4 Staedtler MarsMatic 700 technical pens, 0.30, 0.35, 0.45, 0.50. One of my sisters bought these for me over 20 years ago. They are fun to use.
Sharpie Pen, black.
Sakura Gelly Roll, burgundy. Great color, and a solid line, but the tip gets messy.
0.5mm technical pencil. I've had this for over 20 years also; the writing on the barrel has long since worn off.
